The Harlow invites artists to participate in their upcoming art exhibition and fundraiser 8x10x100 which will be on view July 16-August 29, 2020 at 100 Water Street in Hallowell.
How it works:
Each artwork measures 8x10 inches and is priced at $100.
50% of the proceeds support The Harlow, while the other 50% supports the artist.
This show is not juried. All artists are welcome to participate.
Entry guidelines for artists:
Harlow members can submit up to 4 pieces; non-members can submit up to 2 pieces. (BECOME A MEMBER HERE.)
Media: All media welcome, including but not limited to sculpture, photography, fine art and fine crafts.
Size limit: Make sure your work adheres to the 8x10 measurements. 3D works are welcome and should not exceed 10” in any dimension.
Presentation: Make sure your work is wired properly on the back and is ready to hang. Any frames should adhere to the 8x10 measurements as closely as possible.
Labeling: Label each artwork on the back with artist name, title, media, phone, address, and email.
Entry form: Fill out and submit the entry form online prior to delivering artwork. (CLICK HERE FOR ENTRY FORM.)
Dropoff: Deliver artwork anytime during the following hours: July 7-9 10am-12pm or July 14, 10am-12pm. If you are unable to come during these times you can ship your work to The Harlow, 100 Water Street, Hallowell, ME 04347. Please note that The Harlow is not responsible for shipping costs.
Sales: If your work is sold The Harlow will contact you so that you can bring in another replacement piece if you wish. For this fundraiser exhibition, artists receive 50% of the proceeds and will be paid via check for any sales after the exhibition’s closing.
50% of proceeds from the fundraiser exhibition benefit The Harlow, home to the Kennebec Valley Art Association, a membership based 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to connecting and celebrating art, artists and community in central Maine since 1963.
